🤌🏻 Portfolio

Our Ocean

'Our Ocean' was my final year project at Royal Holloway. The culmination of 3 years of learning in Computer Science, Media & Psychology. This project was a web-based data visualisation which promoted the idea of reducing plastic waste in the ocean by creating striking 3D modelled visualisations of trash in the Pacific. This project was over 60 hours in the making but unfortunately, due to hosting costs I am not able to host this live. However, there are images, videos and the source code here if you'd like to take a look!

ASSASCIINATION

'ASSASCIINATION' was my first project at university. Myself along with 2 other students worked together to create a unique game in Python. My task my creating assets (The ASCII art) along with programming movement of the player and how animations of entities are handled from scratch. Unfortunately I no longer have access to the source code for this project so my high score will never be topped!

Data visualisation project

In my second year of university I undertook a module in data visualisation where we would have to curate a dataset from our own research and then represent this data on a HTML website using JavaScript. I chose to create a choropleth map on depression in Europe and it's relation to public spending on mental health facilities by each countries respective governments. After completing the creation of the visualisation project I had to create a project report based on the choices and design decisions I made. This can all be found by pressing 'show me more' below.

3D Modeling

I've always had a fascination with 3D art, from being a child and watching 'hoodwinked!' on my old portable DVD player to playing crash bandicoot on my brother's playstation. I explored this interest further in one of my first modules at university where had a to create a web based museum to showcase our own art. I chose to create several 3D models inspired by the Vaporwave art movement (often 3D art which plays on nostalgia from the late 80s to 90s). Click below to find out more as well as to see the project!
